What a wonderful last meal after spending a week rebuilding houses damaged by flooding in Baton Rouge. The food was very good. They had an extensive draft beer list and Briana, our waitress was super! Definitely a family friendly place. We chose to eat before 6 pm to beat the crowd, but by the time we left, there were several waiting.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Portion were the right size and the raw oysters were a good size. Building is big and decorations are interesting to view. Good location, right next to the I-10.

Wow! Fantastic cajun/creole food and seafood. The grilled oysters were great, the fried alligator was great, the seafood specials were amazing. Great flavors and sauces and well put together dishes. Robust drink menu and great seafood dishes. The ambiance of this location is great too. Enjoyed watching football on the porch with great food on a beautiful fall day. Glad I followed reviews to this Baton Rouge favorite.
Wow! Fantastic cajun/creole food and seafood. The grilled oysters were great, the fried alligator was great, the seafood specials were amazing. Great flavors and sauces and well put together dishes. I can't think of a place in Baton Rouge that I'd rather go for seafood, although I'd put Louisiana Lagniappe right up there too if you want something a bit more formal. Parrain's really knows how to prepare excellent dishes in a great casual atmosphere. You'll have to be prepared to wait at peak times (and there are a lot of peak times there), but there's a good reason for that wait. It's well worth it!

08/06/17 12:15pm. Food and service was absolutely amazing. All the good reviews posted were correct. We had the chargrilled oysters & they were delicious, flavors on point. Next, we had a huge platter of onion rings that was shared by 7 of us, that dipping sauce was packed with flavor. I had the brunch pork chops with poached eggs & country gravy and it was so tender along side cheesy grits. The fried catfish fillet dinner came with 4 pieces of golden crispy fish and dirty rice, fries, hush puppies, & salad or coleslaw. All this food was so good. Enough food for 2 people to share and the prices were reasonable and worth every dime. I have to give this place 5 stars, wish I could do 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍
