Before I begin, I was only there for two hours in the Ballroom, and so I didn't experience much. That being said, what I did experience was excellent. They have many rooms for events, and what I saw inside of the one or two I walked past was excellent. Well-mannered, gorgeous decorating, and even a few nice features like a projector in the Ballroom. The staff (the two I interacted with) with friendly and professional, and no more nervous around me than usual. So, for an event, I'd say go for it.

My stay at the Red Lion Inn and Convention Center in Billings, Montana was absolutely wonderful. Before I even got to my room, I knew it would be a great stay. The lobby includes a nice fireplace, as well as a bar, and a casino.
The room included two queen size beds, which were very comfortable. Also, there was a large tv and a cozy clean bathroom. Just down the hall from my room was a pool with two large water slides, which were great for families.
The location was also great. The hotel is in walking distance to a couple late night bars for good Billings nightlife, and with the mountains in sight, the locale was hard to beat.
I definitely recommend the Red Lion Inn to anyone who finds themselves in Billings.

Well-managed well-maintained! Just because a place is old doesn't mean it's not nice. It was a wonderful last minute stop on our trip home. we found a great deal through Travelocity who also gets 5 stars from me and helping us find the Red Lion Hotel. The price was really good, the service was friendly and prompt. Dinner special was well priced generous portions and the woman who served us was very friendly and personable. Our room was updated, clean and comfortable. After staying in another hotel that was old and nasty this was refreshing. Highly recommend

Wonderful Hotel! Every staff member was so helpful and warm. Shannon, the front desk clerk that checked us in was awesome. Very professional and helpful. He was so nice and remembered me just from talking on the phone. The room was beautiful and everything is SPOTLESS! We enjoyed everything about this hotel from the staff to the cleanliness and will be staying here from now on every time we are in Billings. Thank you for a great stay Red Lion

Food produced was good if basic. They provided coffee and water, and kept it clean and we'll stocked. Service was polite but quite, which is understandable. Room was clean and quiet. Overall the only complaint is that the lunch provided might have been more varied or interesting. Good soup though!
