We went on on a last minute recommendation from someone at our hotel. It was well worth the detour. We ate at the bar- Wendy, our bartender, was excellent. Every bit of what we ate was enjoyable. The best part about our experience was not the food however, but the service. When we tried to leave, our Uber canceled then another couldn't find the restaurant. Wendy actually ran down the street to guide the driver in to pick us up. That was awesome. We will definitely return.

Top notch southern inspired food and excellent service. The best restaurant in Alabama. Would recommend to anyone of that wanted a fine dining experience in Birmingham.

One of my all time favorite fine dining spots. Solid cocktail program, regularly updated menu. Never stale. We usually skip the table and just eat at the bar.

Fabulous service and one of the best dinners ever! We arrive at 6:50 for our 7:15 reservation. We sat at the bar and Mason the bartender was welcoming and attentive. At 7:20 we were informed that several tables were at dessert and/or not leaving. We were given a free appetizer at the bar. At 8:00 we were given free drinks at the bar. Finally our table was ready 8:15. The manager, bartender, hostess and our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated in every way possible. The tomato salad, the scallops, the surf and turf, the crispy duck and the fried okra were all simply amazing!!! I spent 20+ years in New Orleans and I would say the food at Hot Hot is the same caliber as some of my top 10 favorite places in New Orleans.
This was our first time at Hot Hot Fish Club and what could have been an irritating, disaster of dinner was handled with style and grace. Great job everyone!!!

As always, the food was outstanding. However, the service was not. The server was taking care of a large table and ours, and gave all his attention to the large table. One of our party received her entree' 15 minutes after the others at the table. We were told the original order was charred. However, no one informed us of that. She was given a complimentary dessert; however, it was not the service we have come to expect at a very expensive restaurant.
