The entire process of getting my vision corrected took less time than getting glasses. The staff is awesome!

After going through several tests today, I was told I actually qualify for the 250.00 per eye deal that this facility offers. I was also told I was the first person that the nurse had ever seen qualify. She said that I had basically won the lottery. Then the Dr comes in and he literally did everything he could to make me not qualify. To start with He said I qualified and wanted me to buy a 2 yr warranty for 1400 per eye. His tune seemed to change when I turned that offer down again after turning it down to the nurse as well. It doesn't make sense for me to pay 3k for a warranty " in case I need another tune up surgery" the whole procedure wouldve cost me 500, so 3k really wouldve been dumb to spend. He retested my eye strength after dialating my eyes and point blank telling me I had to stare at letters on the wall through a strong magnifier right before retesting. I told him numerous times my eyes were blurry and I couldn't focus because of the dilation. He said he just wanted to be sure i had no issues in the back of my eyes or in my retina. None of this made sense to what the tests were. He even tried to say the first test was off because the machine was different then the one he was using. It was the same test, same machine. He did say He wanted me to schedule surgery and if I could qualify again, undialated on the day of surgery he would lower the cost back down to 290 per eye. I was not shy at letting him know he was being crooked and scamming.
I understand that most people won't qualify for that deal, its just how they get you through the door, but don't be crooked when someone does qualify and don't be dishonest.

I did the PRK route about a year ago. I was told that being farsighted I would most likely need follow up procedures or enhancements which would be free accroding to the warranty up to two years. During my post op visits Dr. Colson advised me that I would need and enhancement done to my right eye and possibly my left as my vision could change. He then told me to come back in the fall. This past week my appointment wasn't pleasant. My eyes stayed the same. Dr. Colson told me that I am good and don't need the enhancement which was a 180 from our last visit. My right is 20/30 but correctable to 25/30. I told him that I wanted to get an enhancement on my right eye. He told me he "no." I then left disappointed. I shortly returned to get copies of my records as I figured I would get a second opinion elsewhere. Dr Colson then told me a second opinion wouldn't matter as his recommendation is no and only his recommendation matters. After waiting for all his appointments to end so I could talk to him in depth he told me if I got an enhancement it would have to be customized and I would have to pay for any customizations. I told him ok let's get it done. Then he told me that he would talk to Dr Walker first, but that Walker would agree with his recommendation not to do it and would get back to me Friday 10/20/17.

Well Dr Colson didn't get back to me as he promised. The way I see it, they are my eyes. If I could have better vision why not give me an enhancement? This place is a joke if you need more procedures like me. Avoid Dr Colson if you choose this place. If you disagree with him prepare for him to get confrontational.

Very simple process, I was surprised at how easy it was and the staff/Doctors are great! Highly recommended!
