We've lived in a few different states and have seen a lot of GI's for my daughter's EoE. Dr. Burpee is the best, most knowledgeable GI we've found yet. He has great bedside manner, and he's been so helpful in getting my daughter feeling better. I've found that most specialists take a lot of time to get into, especially if they are worth seeing. I LOVE Dr. Burpee. He's amazing. I highly recommend him.

So I have not been able to get my 12 year old daughter in due to them being scheduled out at least 2-3 months. I also had to to cancel due to weather conditions and work schedule and the gal on the other end was life-less and straight direct made me feel kinda like a criminal canceling late and having to reschedule always horrible phone etiquette at this place I am not excited for this rescheduled visit.

Horrible! My three-year old was referred here due to chronic diarrhea. The first available appointment was a month and a half out.I had to make arrangements to take time off work for the soonest appointment They had. They called three days before the appointment telling me I had to reschedule because the Dr. had a meeting. The other appointments they had this week didn't really work for us on such short notice.When I explained this to them they told me that there was only certain times for new referrals and that the only times that worked for me were scheduled way out and were only for established patients. I told them this was kind of messed-up to give such short notice and they pretty much didn't care.I told them I would find another Dr. and to cancel my son's appointment.
Few hours later I get an automated appointment reminder for the appointment I told them to cancel. Unbelievable! So I called back and left them a message basically calling them out for their stupidity. I told them they were severely incompetent and stupid for not canceling my son's appointment.
Turns out they are the only Pediatric G.I. specialist in the area, so I guess that gives them a free pass to treat people like scum. Unable to find another Dr., I called back and they refused to see my child until I talked to an office manger. I ever got a hold of St. Luke's personal relations (have no idea what came of that) and the office manger basically said that a Dr. ellison (last name is not capitalized on purpose, they don't deserve that, or the word Dr. in front of their name for that matter) and thomspon listened to my message and would not see my son. What?!?! Who these doctors should be mad at is their idiot staff! Oh and another lie: initially I was told that the Dr. had a meeting which was the reason for the initial cancelation, now they told me it had to do with an O.R. change. So they won't se my son. I think that's illegal! I guess they can't handle the truth at this office or be called out for how they treat people. I guess the Better Business Bureau is the next step in this matter. Amazing.......
