Atmosphere is in desperate need of an intervention and for a fish house they don't seem to have a very good idea of how to properly cook cook ocean fish, unless it's prefrozen and beer battered but in Idaho we can't complain to much. their prices are okay but on the higher end.

Great food. Good place to get a well made mojito and long island ice tea.
Our waitress Tiffany was very polite & courteous.
Last time we came there was a bunch of new staff and we waited 20 minutes before being served even a glass of water. Aside from the initial wait the last time, the staff and food are 4 stars.

The food was horrible and cold and when we asked for the manager somebody named Pam came out and it was like the twilight zone. She could not have been any more defensive and rude. Needless to say, when we got home we found out the owners were from Layton Utah and it pretty much summed up the entire experience. I will never, ever go back, ever!

After more than a year we tried McGrath's again. The food was not that great. The service, about the same. We asked for a table away from the crowd and they sat a large party right behind us. Their waitress wreaked of perfume, so spent half my meal covering my nose. Just not worth it. Last time we were there the waitress padded our tip. We had a nice waiter but not too attentive. Hope they improve in the future.

Service definitely left something to be desired. We visited on Friday, 5/19/2017 at around 8:50 pm. We were seated in the bar area by the hostess (as requested), but we weren’t immediately greeted by the bar staff. Even though the restaurant wasn't all that busy, staff seemed rushed and inattentive. We overheard wait staff stating that closing time was 9:30, even though posted close outside the restaurant is 10:00 (as is the time on the Web). We thought it was a little odd that none of the staff were wearing name tags.
When we finally were approached by the bartender, we weren’t asked about drink selections at all, she just said, "Did you decide on something yet?"
Food was just okay, I personally much prefer the fried shrimp at Red Lobster - the shrimp at McGrath's were more battered than breaded, and batter usually soaks up more grease than a light breading. Nothing was horrible, but nothing was good either.
We likely won't be back.
