This is the 'Cheers' location for Sockeye. Homey atmosphere with good service and decent bar food. Excellent stout with growler fills and membership discounts available. Don't like the aluminum cans for their retail product - Sitting in the cans for a long time make it concentrate. Brewing in aluminum and kegging it is only there a short time so not ideal / tolerable but canning in aluminum concentrates it even more especially when it sits for extended periods.

Sockeye is one of the short list of places in Boise where you get great food and amazing service at a reasonable price. It is very kid friendly and the kids menu has good variety. Speaking of variety, their menu has a bit of everything. But some outstanding options are the seared tuna burger, the Reuben and the poutine. Their pub burger is also very good. Sockeye is one of the original breweries in Boise and their beer reflects that. Everything is well balanced and mature. The Angel's Perch Amber and Socktoberfest(when in season) are great drinking beers.

Great place to stop in for a fantastic microbrew and lunch. The beer here is fantastic. One of the best IPAs anywhere.
Lunch and dinner selection is pretty good and varied for just about any palette. But you come here for the beer.

This is my neighborhood bar - we go about once a week. The staff is the BEST -always on their game. I never wait at all and have never gotten the wrong food. Beer - is the best ever. Food is ALWAYS consistently great. They really know how to fry stuff.

We went here on the evening of Mother's Day and LOVED the place! The food, server and beer are amazing!! But to be honest, the stuck up brunette
hostess they had the night we went almost killed the entire experience!! She was so incredibly rude, that if it wasn't for our sweet server, we would have left.
Hopefully they have a better hostess next time we come in!
