Wish I could review the food. Made reservations for 6 pm and showed up on time. I was still waiting for a table at 6:25. I understand a 5 or 10 minute wait, but I did not want to even deal with the hostess so I walked away.

Try one of the four homemade pastas with the vokda or alfredo sauce. You will not be disappointed. Great for those who like the hustle and bustle, fast paced feel.

Wonderful traditional Italian cuisine. Great service at a reasonable price one of my favorites now. I'll return on my next trip to Boston.

They have great food and very friendly and attentive service. The only downside (as with many of the great Italian spots in the North End) is that the place is very small and can get very noisy if any of the tables around you are a larger group (and its Italian food so there's often a family of 6+ sitting down to share a meal and laughs).
Great go to spot when friends are visiting - not the uppity kind but the laid back kind. The place has a very welcoming family feel that may be lost on some. I would recommend some of the more expensive spots for your uppity friends :D

This restaurant will forever be our favorite Italian restaurant. We ate allover the North End and had to come back to Al Dente for our final meal of the week. I actually got the same dish I had earlier in the week here, the Veal Valentino. Simply amazing, hands down the best Italian dish of my life. The staff was great and the restaurant was very clean.
