Revolutionary-era pub in vicinity of bunker hill. Cool setting, pretty decent pub food with a good beer selection. Pastrami sandwich was pretty solid.

Whenever my wife and I travel the country we look for old bars / taverns with a lot of American history. We found this hidden Boston gem and fell in love with it. We stayed 3 days in Boston and visited this places twice! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Delicious! We are from Kansas. This place was great, friendly staff, excellent food, good portions. We had the haddock from the lunch special menu. Yum! The chowdah was excellent too!

A charming historical tavern with a lot of character. I had a very pleasant late afternoon here. The wedge salad was excellent and the Reuben sandwich was delightful! Also, prices were very reasonable compared to the Boston area. The waiting staff was polite and friendly, what more could one ask for?

Very quaint and comfortable place to visit. I suggest the fresh"shucked" oysters and Clam chowder. Very near"old ironsides" the tavern hosted many "Father's of Independence". Paul Revere, Joseph Warren, George Washington, enjoyed pints and conversation here... No ghosts 👻 were seen just pints and laughs! Our waitress was very good, she had a Boston/Russian accent 😀... Good stuff.
