I was here on a specially catered dinner with course meal, so I can't really comment on the normal menu. That said, the food that I had was of good quality and was very tasty. The course consisted of appetizer and main course for each individual, and then shared dessert. Service was good and the place was well decorated.

Great place--tough to get a reservation on the weekend which is telling. Small and simple ambiance. Great service and even better food that is reasonably priced. The lobster tacos are scrumptulescent--get them. Three course seafood menu and wine pairing was very nice as well. In short, it's good food and service in a simple atmosphere.

Since moving to Brookline this has become our favorite restaurant to go to. The bar tenders and other staff are very friendly and helpful, the drinks are fantastic and the beer and wine lists are well curated. Despite being a primarily seafood focused restaurant (with truly excellent seafood) I would nominate the burger as the best in the Boston area.

Outstanding food, service and ambiance... Had pear ricotta pizza delicious, also had lobster tacos that was superb, and home made mint ice cream and mint tea was a perfect end to a stellar meal... Just happened to find this restaurant after seeing a movie at Coolidge corner.

From the same owner as Island Creek Oyster Bar and Eastern Standard, Lineage is Brookline's own, small, tamed version of those two places.
It naturally offers raw oysters, and other great seafood options on the menu. But has non-seafood choices as well.
It's a good place. Recommended!
