The Langham, Boston

We went to The Langham for afternoon tea. It wasn't the experience I expected (I expected something more private, not right next to the hotel lobby and open for guests waiting for their rooms to be ready). The tea and snacks were good, but not exceptional. The overall experience just didn't seem to justify the hefty price of $50 + tax and tip.

We went for a bridal high tea. We were originally the only group there and were waited on pretty quickly. It did fill up fast and service was slower, but it seemed that there was only person working there. Despite this the server was courteous and we enjoyed ourselves.

We attended the Chocolate Bar buffet. Our waiter was great and a couple of the attendants were very nice,however there was a station that was empty quite a bit and 2 of the attendants were rude when I asked for assistance there. The food was good, although there were several items I was not impressed with. But the majority of the food was delicious and they had chocolate cotton candy!

Just wonderful! Had a minor maintenance issue and they fixed it right away. Historic but modern enough to be comfortable and practical. Staff is top notch!

Great location in Boston and excellent service! Definitely an old Boston feel. Outstanding breakfast room service, the best we've ever had! My only complaint is the super firm bed and pillows. Other than that, I would highly recommend a stay here.
