UNDISCLOSED CHARGES:
Dr Thompson has a new toy called a 64 slice CT Scanner --it does what an X-Ray could do, albeit a little better-- but Dr Thompson will dazzle / dazzle potential customers when he wants and when he wants to try to sell braces. (We did not buy from him, nor would we ever)
The problem is that when he used it for us, he told me that there would be a $160 difference between what our CIGNA (well understood by dentist) insurance would pay. . . I RELUCTANTLY paid it. I would have never paid the REAL price. . .
Today, I got a letter from a collection agency for another $120 with NEVER a bill in-between. I called Thompson's office and a curt lady not-politely explained to me that the Xray was $380 and that the insurance didn't pay but $98 --the REASONABLE and CUSTOMARY charge for such a service
So an unnecessary and way above R&C charge of $380, now they want me to pay $280 for an Xray in addition to the ~$100 the insurance paid them. They did this by blindsiding me.
When I asked them why didn't they didn't tell me the truth from the get go --she got very defensive.
YES they are good a RAZZLE / DAZZLE, but please BEWARE (be smart and go somewhere else)

Dr. Thompson is currently providing orthodontic services to 2 of my children. He is extremely knowledgeable in this field and I trust his judgment and opinion 100% when it comes to my children and correcting and improving their smiles. His support staff are all very positive, upbeat and friendly and a joy to deal with on a monthly basis. I don't feel like just another customer but more like a friend who is receiving services for her children. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson!
Dr. Thompson is currently providing orthodontic services to 2 of my children. He is extremely knowledgeable in this field and I trust his judgment and opinion 100% when it comes to my children and correcting and improving their smiles. His support staff are all very positive, upbeat and friendly and a joy to deal with on a monthly basis.
