Great vacation, very convenient with a dock for our boat and directly across from the beach. Pet friendly so our pups could come and large enough for 4 to sleep comfortably.

My partner and I, along with our son and his girlfriend, stayed at 2 Heron's Landing from December 17 - 27, 2012. Gerry now wants to sell his ice huts and move to Florida for a month at least! The house is beautiful, exactly as described and the location is quiet, with great neighbours. But what is not obvious from the web site is the private pier. A 70 foot long walkway takes you out to the pier that is over 65 feet in length with a bench at each end, a fish cleaning table, 2 freshwater hoses and a boat slip. We lived on the pier, catching and eating all sorts of different fish. The herons, egrets and wood storks become your best friend as they wait for handouts. Manta Rays and dolphins swim by.The fish bit well in the morning and evening, giving us time to do other things during the day i.e. go to the outdoor markets, restaurants, walking trails, deep sea charters. The Gulf Beach is just across the road (the sand is like flour!) and the house is only a few short blocks from 'downtown' Bridge Street where there is a convenience store, ice cream shop, gift shops, mini golf, lots of restaurants and a bait shop. The free trolley runs every 20 minutes from one end of the Island to the other and is the best way to get to the Publix grocery store. It stops for a longer period at Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe in Holmes Beach. Be sure to get out and look around and eat there! Great food, beach bar, lots of sand.

This was one of our best vacations ever and we have traveled to numerous sites in Florida. Just being able to set on the pier at sunrise where my favorite manatee would come to greet you and the cranes stalked you for a handout. A short walk to the end of the block had you standing on the shore of the pristine beaches of the gulf.
A short walk you could be shopping on Bridge Street or dining overlooking the Bay or the Gulf and we didn't have a bad meal the whole trip. The house is clean roomy and comfortable, so go on down to a relaxing casual experience and tell them I said so.

My family stayed here last year for a family reunion. We leased both sides in order to accommodate our family of 14. Both the young and old were entertained by the property being located just several houses from the gulf beaches for an easy stroll. They also have on site bikes and beach chairs. Lots of extra amenities are provided. Fresh and clean.....we will be returning. Great location in quiet neighborhood. Be back for another visit.
