This was a wonderful place to visit. Both exterior and interior look like a dive bar at first glance. While it may give that appearance, do not be fooled, the R&L Lounge is a mom and pop shop like no other! The pierogies were handmade by Lottie in the back and were absolutely delicious. My finance and I were there for my birthday because of the wonderful reviews I'd read and it lived up to the hype. In fact, Lottie was so excited to hear it was my birthday that she made a point to play "Happy Birthday" on the jukebox and sing along with excitement. Her and Ronnie made us feel right at home and as though we were family. It's somewhat slow for lunch but I can imagine a lively group of regulars during the dinner hour and in the evening. I cannot speak highly enough....we will certainly be back whenever we have a craving for pierogies and warm company!

Food selection was awful/extremely limited and our food was undercooked/soggy. Everything was overpriced as well. $2 per perogi? Really? There's no menu either so there's no way of knowing how much you'll be paying. If you're debating on checking this dive (in every sense of the word) out I'd reconsider unless you want to be stiffed.

One of the last old school Polish American taverns left on the East Side of Buffalo, in the heart of old Polonia.
Hats off to the Pikuzinski family for keeping the place going for all these years.
