The food there is excellent! They have all the Chinese food favorites, plus sushi buffet as well. It truly is a win win. I never leave hungy ever, which is more then I can say for most restaurants in Carlsbad.

I have been to a lot of Japanese Buffets. This even sounds weird when I write it but this one is the best I have ever been to. It's crazy because it is in Carlsbad, NM. This place rocks and I have never eaten any bad or old food from here. Definitely worth the money.

The food is pretty good. Lots to choose from. Quick seating a clean place to eat Chinese food buffet.

We decided to try this place because it was close to where we were staying and it looked inviting from the outside. Since it was packed with cars, we were hoping for a good experience but got an average one at best. I find buffets to be frustrating in that it is rare I can find one that actually has hot and fresh food and well stocked. This was no exception.
Most of the selections were cold, others I wanted, took a long time to be refilled. I was finally able to get some chicken that was fresh and hot, but that was the exception. The sweet rolls were excellent though, so I filled up on those. Maybe if we arrived at a different time we would have had better luck. There is a large selection of food available if you don't care about the freshness or warmth. The servers were also very attentive and the restaurant was clean.
I was also overcharged, but I didn't catch on to that until after I got back to the motel and looked at the bill again. If I'm ever in the area again, I doubt that I would eat there again.

Buffet in a Desert? too good to be true.
IT WAS AWFUL, $13+/person on a Tuesday afternoon.
All chicken dishes were floating in 2 inches of water and did not have much chicken in them, just fried dough, it was so hard and gross, the plate of food in the photos is my photo of the BAD CHICKEN.
of course veggies, fish, salad bar, dessert and noodle dishes were okay. the sushi bar was decent for a Chinese place.
***I would order To-Go and have them make 1 of your favorite dishes.
The employees care little about the place.
As always, the bathrooms were nice, Asian places keep their restaurants clean and well decorated.
