Brought dog in for a limp she developed after we took her on a long hike. She's a 10 year old dog, and apparently they thought it better to run blood work extensively to test for Cancers and such in lieu of an x-ray. She is healthy as a horse no cancer thank goodness no tapeworms no heart worms Etc well after paying $250 in a well puppy checkup and two prescriptions she still has said limp. Edgewood Animal Hospital wants to charge me another doctor's office visit to check her out for the reason why I brought her in for the first place!

Very nice waiting area, nice and clean. Staff was very nice. I just started to take my rabbit there for his nail trimming. I had to wait a long time for my appt, but its understandable there are always emergencies. I will take my 2 cats there also when they need care.

I called Edgewood Animal Hospital on Monday 9/11/17. I had just moved to CR and need one of my dogs to be seen by a vet quickly. They got me in that same day!
Dr Sue Delaney saw my dog and was so kind, thorough and explained everything. Although the news was not good on my dog, Dr Delaney gave me options for treatment and was cognisant of the financial aspect. This was a very good experience and I've already referred a family member.

I have been taking my dogs to Edgewood Animal Hospital for a long time now and every time I go into the vet for an appointment my dogs and I enjoy the staff. The girls up front really do a good job of being professional with what ever the situation may be that I am enduring at the time. I have had to put two of my dogs to sleep because of various reasons and the staff really made me feel like they cared about what I was going through. I have went to several of the Dr.'s at this clinic and I have never had a bad experience. The staff has never given me the impression that they are just there for the money. Believe me, I have worked at a vet before and been a vet tech and a vet assistant and I do have to say You definitely don't get paid enough to be doing this type of work just for the money. You have to have a Love for what You do to make it work!

I drive from Iowa City to Cedar Rapids...that's how much I love the Edgewood Staff! They are caring, considerate, and unlike other clinics, they don't give you a hard sell on products & procedures! They also give back to the community, helping a rescue organization I volunteer with & supporting other non-profit groups too!
Updated 7/27/17 Twice this year, Edgewood staff have squeezed my dogs in for semi-emergency situations. Even though I made their days more hectic, the staff was super nice and considerate of the fact that I was very worried. It was also nice to go there versus the emergency clinic, where they don't know me or my dogs. We go there for our regular care as well, but it's nice to know that they try very hard to help their clients when the unexpected arises.
