Visiting from Virginia. Great drink selection, live music, relaxing atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will come back when visiting Charleston very soon!

The new “renovation” is the destruction of the deck/loading dock (where they had concerts) which was the best thing they had going. They added a warehouse section for more space but it’s subpar. Beer has always been just ok compared to other breweries in town.

We tried to stop by Palmetto Brewery but the entrance was blocked off. There was no clear signage so we walked around the corner into what we could only assume was the side entrance. (Mind you there is no information on their website or google about being closed for business.)
We walked by a group of people on the deck on our way inside who didn’t say anything to us, only to find the brewery empty. The people on the deck were rather rude and unhelpful in saying “oh yeah, we’re closed.. [duhh]”
Won’t be back here and definitely won’t recommend.

This was our 5th stop on our Charleston vacation brewery tour on our vacation from from Asheville, NC. This place had it all. An oasis of a outdoor space, excellent service, both friendly and accommodating. Beer was great, I recommend the tripel if that's your taste. Overall, a notch above our other brewery visits.

Great space, central location to a lot of fun and exciting restaurants, but the hours the tap room is open seem random and the beer leaves a bit to be desired.
