We visit here when we are in the area. A wonderful refreshing church and Pastor.

I was a member of this church for 25 years before moving to another state. I grew up in this church. Through years of Sunday school, kids' activities, sermons, etc., I received a solid foundation for my faith in Jesus Christ. I am still very close to many families in this church and I always visit when I come back to visit my parents. I can say that if anything has changed since I've been gone, it has changed for the better. Pastor Powell is a solid preacher, grounded in the Word with a burden for the people of Victory as well as a burden for the lost. His wife Karen is sweet and caring. The people of the church are just as warm and friendly as they have always been. They still accept me as one of their own though I've been gone for several years. This church truly is a family. It always has been. Though I have moved on and have made another church my home, I still consider Victory family. I would not be the person I am today without them! I thank the Lord for the influence of Victory Baptist Church in my life. Fellow believers. Lifelong friendships. Spiritual growth. Prayer warriors. So thankful for this church body. If you are looking for a church family, I most definitely recommend Victory!

As an across the street neighbor, I find, in my distant observation, that this church presents itself well. My limited contact has been with the pastor, who is friendly and respectful. He and others from the church have extended invitations to my family on several occasions, which up until now. we have been unable to accept due to our hectic schedules.

was member years ago. Visited once more. The church has deep problems, problems common with Independent Fundamental, Baptist churches. The leaders run the place like it is their own little feifdom. Leadership is dishonest, authoritarian, hypocritical, unapproachable, and abusive. Some of the people so disposed have left including the preacher, Tim Butler, and Deacon Rickman Jackson. whether or not the church can be turned around is anyone's guess. Dafoe said, "Of all the things with which mankind is cursed, religious tyranny is the worst.". Be careful with the people at Victory Baptist.
