We have been to MEDcare Urgent Care several time and have had excellent experiences. The check-in went smoothly and as quickly as can be expected from a doctors office. We have seen several of the doctors and they were knowledgeable about the reason we were there, spoke to us in a professional and clear manner, and had us on our way with we thought out instructions. In each case, we believe they correctly diagnosed the concern which then went away when we followed the directions. I strongly recommend MEDcare Urgent Care for times when you have to see someone now.

I brought my 2 year old daughter in to see the doctor at Medcare and as soon as I pulled in I saw the parking lot had quite a handful of cars and all I thought was "I'm going to be here for hours" . I walked in and was greeted by the sweet girl at the front desk. She took my information and registered my daughter within a few minutes and we had to wait a few more minutes before called back. It didn't take long before the doctor came in to see us. He was very knowledgeable, knew what my daughter had and prescribed her medications. The medical tech, Mike I believe was his name was so great and patient with my daughter and Savannah the other tech that discharged us reassured me that her medications were sent to the pharmacy and walked us out. Overall it was a quick office visit and I was very pleased with the medical professionals who cared for my daughter.

I came in this past Friday because of chest pain. The waiting room had maybe four people in total. Plus whomever was in the back. The X-ray tech who was very sweet handled my triage and x-ray. After the x-ray I waited a hour. No one came to check on me. Thank God I don't have serious health issues. I could've passed out and died and none of the staff would've known. I came back to complete my visit only to be told I could not have the results from Friday because I was not billed. I know they didn't throw the results away. I feel they could've given me what was done Friday but instead I'm waiting again. I will never come back here to this office in West Ashley or any med care facility ever again.

I went here after cutting my knee on some oyster shells. I asked the doctor why he did not clean the wound prior to stitching me up and he said that I bleed so much that it cleaned itself out. To make a long story short the wound got severely infected and Med Care told me I needed to go to the ER. Well after spending two days in the ER and three outpatient visits I spent about $6000 out of my own pocket that would have not been needed had Med Care taken some simple steps. The surgeon that saw me in the ER said Med Care was grossly negligent, the x-rays showed multiple shards of shells & debris left in the wound. I have been trying to get reimbursed for at least some of the $6000 for the last ten months of Med Care avoiding my calls etc. for them to finally tell me that in order for me to get reimbursed I would have to sue them. I am currently seeking representation.
