I arrived 30 minutes early as suggested to get checked in and my paperwork was scanned as well as my MRI loaded into their computer, All done quickly and the documents handed back to me. PA checked me, took verbal history, sent me for an X-ray and then I quickly saw Dr John Johnson. He did exactly what I had hoped for: he went through the X-ray and MRI in a concise detailed explanation of my back and what the problem was causing the pain. As MRI was 3+ years old, a new scan was suggested and I approved.
End result was, my back looked the same except for minor changes so I made a choice between more PT or an injection....I took the injection. Even though I just had the consultation appointment scheduled with Dr Johnson, the MRI and Injection only took about 4 more hours even with them suggesting and me taking a lunch break at a nearby restaurant.
I was impressed with the staff from start to finish with no exceptions. Dr Johnson and his PA (Ms Hyatt) were pleasant and very efficient, explained everything well, and answered my questions. At no time did I feel rushed or that they had other things to do. 3 days later I am without pain for the first time in years and wondering how long the results will last.
Admittedly, my pain level has never been severe (3-4 on a consistent basis) but I have had several episodes of very severe pain that had left me concerned about the future problems. I now have a clear understanding of my problem and that in itself relieves some worry.
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience and the results for a initial treatment. I just wish more Physicians had the ability to explain things as well as Dr Johnson.
August 1
Back for a return visit with vast improvement in pain level after injection.
Showed up 10 minutes early for appointment, was taken back to exam room on time, and was gone in less than 30 minutes.
Same PA (Hyatt) reviewed how I had done with the injection, did a brief exam and then reviewed the MRI done at the spinal clinic showing changes versus the one 3+ years ago and why they did the injection they did. She explained that there were two choices and why they did the injection they had done.
She told me they would leave standing orders for another injection if I needed and answered questions I had about injection frequency allowed and the possibilities of surgery if the injections no longer worked. Once again I got the same type clear explanations that Dr Johnson had given me on the earlier visit. Asked for and got a copy of MRI and report for my records.
All staff were friendly, efficient, and my visit went like a well oiled machine! I left with less pain, more hope for the future, and a wish that all medical visits could go like the 2 I have had at the Spine Institute!!!!

Feeling the effects of the 1st injection wearing off, I called and scheduled an appt for the next injection for which the Dr had left a standing order for. I arrived at 10:10 AM for an 10:30 appt time, checked in, and after about 4 minutes was called back. I was prepped, injected, stayed for a 10 min observation and was wheeled out to meet my wife at the car at 10:45.
Same quick and friendly service as the first 2 visits! I have no complaints about anything at SESI. I am in awe at this point of the efficiency that I have seen and experienced in my visits!
Hopefully this injection works as well as the first one.

Had a pretty awful experience here. Made it extremely difficult for me to obtain invoices for my appointments. Only come here if you have no other options.

I wish I could give 0 stars instead of 1 star. I was being seen by the fabulous staff at Physical Rehab Group for years. PRG was bought out by SSI. In order to continue my therapy, I was forced to have a new patient "consult" with the same PT's who had been treating me before (just so they could enter my information into a new computer software program-which took all of 5 minutes). I was later billed $100 without being informed. I don't feel it's professional to bully a patient into paying without disclosing a fee up front. Additionally, they said I can't come back until I pay. No thanks, finance department. I won't be coming back.

As thorough as The Pythagorean Theorem and as fast as a drive through window if you ask me. Would rate it five stars if I didn't have to do so much paper work at one building then repeat it again at another. If you're in pain when you arrive, then expect to better understand your diagnosis when you leave. Ask questions and take an advocate for your well being to help you remember dates and terminology if you are in pain.
