Pretty good food. Service wasn't bad but could use a little more friendliness. Loved the cold beet soup. The chicken dish I got was good, but would choose something different when eating there again.

I didn't really see many "Mediterranean" options on the menu but I'm not complaining because the food and the service was very good!

From start to finish we had an amazing experience at Lana. We arrived for our 7pm reservations and the place was pretty slammed but still had a few open tables. The hostess politely told us that a rush had just come in and asked if we were willing to have a drink at the bar and give the kitchen a minute to catch up. We were amazed by the honesty and considered it a breath of fresh air to have an establishment so concerned with their level of service that they were willing to put themselves out there and ask for a minute to catch up. The bar was nice and the bartenders were pleasant and knowledgeable. Maybe 10 minutes later the kitchen was caught up and we were at our table. From that moment on everything was perfect. We ordered the antipasto for two which was very generously portioned and delicious. For our entree, we shared the flounder special, which they split onto two plates with no complaints, and was superbly cooked and beautifully presented. Finally, we ended with the homemade carrot cake with mascarpone icing. Everything was delicious, the service was exemplary and the Chef Ondo visited our table several times dropping off our desert and entree. I would gladly recommend Lana to anyone living in or visiting Charleston.
