Food was horrible and over price. Got a Patty melt which came on white bread and charged me $9.00. Plus charged me for extra fries which I never received. Didn't realized until I got home. Won't be eating here anymore.

The pulled pork sandwich with the sweet red BBQ sauce was delicious. The meat was juicy and tender. The sauce was just the right mix of sweet and BBQ flavor. The bun was warm and fresh. The French fries were tasty and not excessively salty. The meal also came with a large onion ring. It was warm with good flavor. No oily or doughy taste. Plenty of food but a little pricy. A very enjoyable lunch.

Melvin's is literally the best BBQ in Charleston. If you're in town visiting make sure to go check it out. Tons of food and it is so good! I can not name a single thing I do not like about this place. The meals are huge, prices are fair for what you're getting, they cater, several meat options, friendly staff, fun decor inside and comfortable seating.

Not the Melvin's I remember. I had the pulled pork sandwiches, fries, banana pudding.

The pork did not taste exactly fresh, not what I remember.

Onion rings and fries a good bit greasy.

I have long loved Melvin's and that signature Bessinger BBQ sauce.

Maybe this was just a bad day, one time thing. If not, I want a return to prominence. A return to the crispy onion ring, fresh pork, perfect smoke. I can't go on without it.
