The one star is not for the bar and bar staff. The food is great and usually I have a great time there. Unfortunately the bouncer that is sometimes there is rude and unprofessional. I saw him kick out one person for no cause and grab another patron by his neck. The only disorderly person at the bar was the bouncer. I ended up leaving early because the bouncer made me feel so uncomfortable.

Been here 6 times over the last 8 months. Absolutely the worst service every single time. Drinks will sit empty, you will get ignored, and you will be upset at the food considering the price. I asked for 3 different sandwiches on seperate occasions just to be given a burger. The one time i decided to take my girlfriend in hopes it changed we sat at a table for 30 minutes and didnt even get water.. was told "we would be right with you" more than 4 times but didnt even have a coaster or napkins given. Ended up walking out. Today was the final straw. Went with my boss for lunch. Maybe 4 other ppl in the place. Still got ignored multiple times and drinks ran empty. If you are a local then avoid this dump at all costs... go to the recovery room or juanitas for way better prices, atmosphere, service, etc. If you are a tourist (especially from Ohio) then please please by all means go to Moes slacktown tavern.

My favorite bar in downtown Charleston. Staff is personal and the bar has a very local feel. Perfect for a casual beer after work or a burger with friends. Highly recommend the Sunday brunch.

Heard great things about the burgers here so stopped in on a Monday when they would not be busy. Point blank I was disappointed. Burger was underwhelming and not seasoned well. Service was uninterested. Wife's entree was the same. Value was good enough and it had a cool local vibe. So credit there, but not enough to bring me back.
