I wish I would've been impressed. It seemed like everyone around me was having a great experience. Somehow I was lost in another realm. Am I the snobbiest? I think not. I just expected more. I went with the waitresses recommendation of two small plates. The problem is, they were menu items I've had before--beef carpaccio and pork belly. They were both good. Not better than I've had in the past. My socks were still on. I should've ordered the Flounder or the Tilefish. Especially since I've never had either before. There would be no comparison, so less likely to be disappointed. The best thing was the cocktail. But it's easy to make a good cocktail.

Best restaurant meal I've had in ages. The atmosphere was nice - classy but pleasantly bustling - my waitress was very attentive and friendly, and my food came quickly. I got the scallops and was blown away by the quality and the great combination of flavors. Serving size was generous enough that I probably should have had leftovers, but I ate it all, and I can't say I regret it.

S.N.O.B. looks too much like it's trying to be upscale when it really isn't. Dishes are well plated but they're massive in portion size and without a lot of nuance in flavor. Given its close proximity to the harbor it seems more fitting for the tourists pouring off the cruise ships than for locals. If you want large portions and don't care too much about taste (you like to eat Applebee's a lot) it's fine.

We had a reservation at 7:30 pm and we got there at 7:38, thanks to the parking facility in Charleston. By the time we were served the food it was 8:30 pm , which would have been fine if we didn't have a whining toddler along. Our server had the presence of mind to bring the side for our daughter before the meal, which helped with some level of whining. The food was good. The corn bread served on the house was absolutely delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the trigger fish entree and my scallops were perfect except for the last one which was gritty. Everything on the plate was perfect though. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for dessert. I wouldn't call the place kid friendly. The staff was nice but the patrons were snobbish.

So to start out this place honestly deserves 5 stars but for me personally it wasn't 5 stars and I will tell you why.
So I went to SNOB with my best friend while he was in town and felt totally out of place. We were walking by and randomly able to get a table with only a 5 minute wait, which apparently never happens. Now I can get cleaned up pretty good, but we were not planning on going there so we were dressed inappropriately, we were in casual cloths when everyone else was in business formal or at the minimum business casual. So I felt pretty out of place.
The second thing that got me was the prices, now I know this is a 5 star restaurant and as such the prices will be inflated, but I think there was like only one thing on the menu for 15$ with just about everything else being 20$ and up. Cocktails were all 9$ and up as well.
Now with all of that being said the Food was excellent. I got the Shrimp and grits and it was honestly the best I have had at a restaurant. My cocktail was good but hard to justify the price personally.
I can say that I would go back here but only on a special occasions if invited by certain people.
