Fresh Italian dishes cooked to order from scratch. Unique and enjoyable dining experience. A must try if you enjoy pasta.

When I first visited Vapiano I was confused by the way that you order your food. Once over that the food is actually very good. An array of pastas pizzas and salads make for a reasonable set of lunch choices. On this day I had the cobb salad and really enjoyed it. It's a little awkward for large groups cuz people are running around all over the place trying to figure out how to order and when it's ready. But for two to four people it's actually quite fun.

Pepperoni Pizza was tasty but the real reason to come to Vapiano was the service especially the bartender Briana. She was so pleasant and professional. I was drinking Peroni beer and when they had to change the keg she was so apologetic. I was fine to change to another beer. I'm new to Charlotte and I definitely will come back to try some other things on the menu. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The food here is awesome. But my one knock on this place, is that you have to work for your food. You do not have a server. When you walk in they give you a card and you used that card to order. So you take it to the desire food line you want, and place the card on a scanner and so you tell the cook what you want and it's loaded on the card (it's like running a tab) so you stand there and wait for your food. And you got to get your own drinks also. Then at the end when your about to leave you give your card to the girl or guy at the front and then you pay.

The concept of Vapiano is great. Cafeteria style dying in a trendy atmosphere that you'd actually like to hang out it. The offerings are pretty diverse and the prices very reasonable so there should be something here for everyone. The place makes you feel a little fancy without actually being that fancy. The food is on average good, but quality seems to vary from dish to dish. Pastas seem to be in general overcooked likely because they aren't made fresh on the spot, but reheated to save time. The flavors of the pasta are good, but a lackluster noodle takes the fun out of a dish. The pizzas seem to be a different story as they are fresh, crispy and bursting with flavor.
