Convenient location near downtown and close to Interstate. Older property but very reasonable price, quiet, clean with pleasant staff. Good wi-fi. All and all, I would stay there again.

Not a good experience. First we had no heat. A not so friendly maintenance man came to turn it on, smell was awful. The bathroom ceiling was falling down. Was a no smoking room but had cigarette burns on the comfort. The staff at the front was nice. Needs lots of repairs.

First, I am not being bombastic in this review only open and honest, you can read the other reviews and find out why they are 2 1/2 star out of five star review for other reasons. I will not use names only workers or owner/ Manager. I hope this review gives the opportunity for them to grow personally and professionally and provide a great place for travelers needing nightly, weekly or monthly housing while in Charlotte.
Pros: friendly at first, accommodating and fair price
Cons: not easy to work with when out of town and needing to extend stay, workers and owners/ management not on same page and become defensive quickly.
I stayed at The Golden Green Hotel ( One of several of their names ) and paid a week in advanced and also added a $50 deposit for a week-no problem but since I work out of town quite a bit I thought like most other places they would take payment at check out.
I am guessing they are and independently owned hotel, so not in the same situation has their deeper pocketed competition, I understand that part also.
My issue is when I receive a call from a worker and said she is sending me a credit card authorization and for me to fill it out and send my drivers license along with credit card and they would have no problem extending another week. Guess what I did??? I filled it out send it in and all was good. Until! The owner/manager calls me and says no, no, no that I need to come into the office and pay by credit card ( the same one they already have on file). Did I mention that I am currently in another state working? Not many choices to stop what I’m doing and run back to another state and pay on my bill that I personally thought was already settled. The one thing I am thankful for is the owner/manager did say that she would store my items instead of throwing them out. I guess every cloud does have a Silverlining LOL.
I am not writing this to harm the business in anyway, I am writing this only as a warning to other travelers to make arrangements for stays longer than a week.

Awesome! It's peaceful & quiet enough to whereas I can finally hear myself think (for a change). Staff is pleasant enough. Room was clean, showers were clean, linen good. 😁👌
