These guys are top notch

The only children's hospital in the area and some of the staff seem to care. However my daughter was scheduled for "stat" MRI after being admitted. They cut her off from food and water at midnight, she still wasn't taken back 12 hours later. She was in pain, tired, thirsty and needed surgery. Complete fail on behalf of the radiology department. Her Dr. was very good at explaining and going through everything with us. I wouldn't say efficiency is their strong point.

Horrible housekeeping and maintenance in rooms. Staff member-nurse was hungover from the night before and injected medicine into my son's arm too fast wich caused a large bubble and bruise.

This place used to be one of the best places to take a sick or injured child. They have really gone down hill.
Waiting almost 24 hrs with my child with a broken arm because a resident didn't schedule surgery with the orthopedic surgeon. That's disgusting.
Then on top of that the reception desk is a complete disorganized mess. They wouldn't even validate my parking pass after I spent all night in their waiting room. No wonder they have no idea who needs help in their emergency room. The family waiting areas were filthy with Playdough for children to play with just lying about on the floor near the rest room.
I took this place for granted. I used to recommend this place. No more.

We had a good experience with the Children's Hospital at Erlanger (TC Thompson Hospital). We brought our 19 month old son into the emergency room with severe stomach pains and found the doctors and nurses to be caring and very concerned for him throughout our stay. They ran the necessary diagnostic tests, explained to us what they were going to do, and kept us posted throughout the stay until he was better. Throughout the entire stay I felt they displayed empathy and professionalism to both him and our family.
