Very impressed with the care and knowledge of Dr. Jena. Her experience and practical approach are exactly what I'm looking for in a veterinarian. I also appreciate that when your appointments at 4pm. They are seeing you at four Unlike a human doctor practice where 4 PM means if you're 20 minutes late there are still three people in front of you . At this place if you're 20 minutes late you have missed your appointment and will need to reschedule because the person behind is now being seen and she is usually booked the rest of that day. Wish my human doctors were as punctual and reasonable as her.

Dr Brevard really cares about her patients and not just about making $$$.

Never ever take your dog or cat here. Let me start by saying that my dog is 13 years old and had two cyst that needed removing. We were renting a home just around the corner as our new home was being remodeled. I made an appointment to have the two cyst removed and never spoke to the vet until the day of surgery a few minutes before. The lady at the front counter acts like Boone gets past her with any questions or concerns. After hours went by and past the time I was told they would call I proceeded to call about my dog. I was told she was out of surgery and ready to be picked up. I then drove over to get her and paid for her surgery and they brought my dog out. I was really feeling sorry for her so I was holding her to comfort her. I ask the girl at the front desk if either of the two cyst looked like they could be cancer or of concern . She then turns away and walks into the back returning telling me that the one on her head looked OK but that the one on her neck looked suspicious. I then ask her if they were going to send it off to the lab..? I then received a blank stare as if it had never crossed anyone's mind to do so.. so I ask her to get the lump for me and I would send it off. It took a whole twenty minutes for them to produce said suspicious cyst as I waited with no explanation of what I was waiting on. I suspect it had been thrown away and they had to look for it. Now I had it sent off and it was okay but by them taking that long and only receiving one cyst and not two I am afraid I had the normal one analyzed. I then proceeded to walk to my car with my dog which was parked less than 15 feet from the front door. My dog could not even walk or stand up as if she was heavily still sedated .I went to pick my dog up to place her in my car and she was covered in feaces all under her tail and in her bottom. I then had to take a dog that just had surgery home and clean her and she couldn't even stand up it was pitiful. Not one phone call did I receive to check on my dog this place is a joke. I suspect that the problem lies with the lady that works the front desk as I believe she and the vet are girlfriends and are dating... which I do not care .. but having your controlling jealous girlfriend that will not let you speak of even say hello to the vet even if you can clearly see the vet sitting behind her in her office is definitely not good for business on top of the customer service and neglect that took place. I expect my pet to be treated with dignity as well as myself and will never ever use this vet again. The business is the size of a small cottage and is in a community of animal lovers. They need to do better.

I took in my kitten for her first checkup. She told me that she had the start of ringworm due to the shelter she had been and and prescribed Laia (my cat) some topical liquid to put on top of the scabs on her ears. I noticed it didn't get better at all, so I scheduled an appointment with a different vet. He informed me that the medication I had been giving her didn't even treat ringworm. So not only had I paid $50 for a medication that was unnecessary, I also had to sit back as myself, my roommate, and my cat got a bad case of ringworm. Not appreciated.

I have been using Dr. Brevard since 2009 and I have not one single negative thing to say about her or her staff! She has vetted all of my cats and dogs and I am happy to share her information when people ask who my vet is. She is knowledgeable and very friendly which means the world to me when it comes to my animals. She has performed a few surgical procedures on one of my dogs and during his healing process, she called me a few times to check on him. This is the best kind of vet to have! Very comforting to know that she cares and is compassionate. We love our vet!
