Hume is an incredible gallery space doing very important things for underrepresented artists in the city of Chicago. Run by artists itself, the space promotes inclusion and equality. The dedicated staff focus their efforts on highlighting a variety of artists who may not otherwise be shown in gallery spaces in the city, giving them a platform from which to grow.

Hume is a welcoming, important, and exhilarating place that challenges and complicates—in the best way possible—my ideas of what an art space can and should do: aesthetically, morally, and within its communities. I feel lucky and grateful that I was able to spend time there when I lived in Chicago. Living elsewhere now, I deeply miss the warm home they have built and continue to build.

Hume is a cool welcoming space. I've been to some fun panels and film screenings there. Usually events there are free and a lot of fun
