By far my favorite place to eat in Chicago. When we made our reservations we didnt know what type of place this was. But we are so glad we went. There was live Jazz music and a burlesque singer. On Thursday night they have burlesque dancers. This place has a 1920s feel, like during prohibition. If I am ever back in Chicago we will be going back.

I would suppose most people wouldn't mind the loudness, I did. The music was incredibly pervasive, we sat in the dining area and had to shout over the table to have ourselves heard. They have a live band, which is cool, and blues music on the night I was there.
The place is huge, with a bar area, a lounge area, and a restaurant area. I would say the lounge area is the most impressive and this is the area you would want to be in if you came here. The whole place is underground however, and if you would like to use your phone, that may not be an option.
I was peckish and had the focaccia bread bruschetta. I liked it, though it is definitely an artery clogger. Comes with cheese and pine nuts, makes you think you are eating a rather upscale pizza. We tried the corn bread with bacon as well, would recommend you get this with butter.
The drinks were relatively good, heavy on the alcohol, but I cannot say they were well mixed, unfortunately.

Loved the entertainment. Chicago has the best venues for entertainment. And you will not believe how great the service is.

We came for dinner and a show and boy did we get one. The stage performance was wonderful - truly talented singers and even a burlesque interlude between sets. But the food was also amazing - I pretty much wanted to order every shareable plate on the menu and might end up coming back to do just that. The drinks were also very good. And the service was friendly. After the show, the place turned into a nightclub with dancing and a DJ, so we didn't have to go anywhere else to keep our date night going. It was also one of the only places in Chicago that I've been where the entire city comes together. It was fantastic.

Some people probably come here for the atmosphere and live music. Both of which are very cool, but the food is something else. The scallops and the skirt steak are absolutely amazing! The family style dining made it easy to get a taste of everything. Two thumbs up.
