Ok this place has legit amazing pies. They seem to specialize, which I like, and which will bring me back. I had the mushroom and kale pie and it really was all that. Delicious in the center, flakey crust and comes piping hot. Lots of gravy/ stew to keep it incredible. I also got the scotch egg but this one wasn't really a winner for me. I didn't really like the fried meat on the outside or perhaps I needed a bit of salt. The runny yolk makes up for it but not enough. Good though, if you are looking for an authentic scotch egg
The place is small, would recommend you take the food next door and get a drink with your meal. Service is superb and they are very accommodating and helpful

Good British brunch place. Really love it! Size was good and price was decent. 👍the meat pie is very special! First time of my life to have it but recommend to every one who wants to try something new!

I've always been a fan of Pleasant House Bakery and frequented them quite often. This was my first time at this location, ever since they took over the old Nightwood spot. The tables are kinda cramped together, but the look is pretty much the same. They took away the booths, which I thought were amazing. The food is still incredible, the coffee is definitely to die for. Always and I mean ALWAYS, CROWN YOUR PIES! The mashed potatoes with gravy just make them taste SO much better.

Pleasant House blew away my expectations. Best pies I have ever had and their "chips" are amazing as well! Had the Baltic chicken pie and burger - both were amazing. Their beer is also tasty. Definitely want to come back on Friday for their fish and chips and try their brunch!

My first experience here was good. I enjoyed my coffee, I also liked the music and the atmosphere. Also, the bathroom was pretty cool and parking was easy. The four stars are for my second experience. I detoured out of the way for an iced coffee before getting on the road. Only to get there and discover that they could no longer make the coffee I wanted at the time of my arrival. I was going to settle for what they had. Only to be informed that they were out of milk and out of baked goods. Needless to say I left and haven't gone back.
