Originally I wrote a one star review because of the long time (two and a half months) it took for anyone to get back to me regarding an online order that never showed up despite my numerous attempts to contact this retailer. Eventually the owner did follow up and I said I would delete my poor review - but not I cannot figure out how to delete this review. I can only edit it so here is the updated review as promised. I will say that when the owner finally did contact me she went above and beyond in her apology and even offered to comp the item. Really I just wanted a refund and to be done with it - which is what she did so I am satisfied.

Met the owner on Sunday and she is great! They have a good selection of all types of things you can buy for you 4 legged friend!

I would recommend getting the Meli flashing light for the collar of your dog. This is one of two locations you can buy this in Chicago and it is well worth it. They have blue, red and white and the price is $22. They are located at the counter where you check out and will last you well over a year. The replacement battery can be a little tricky but dont worry, stock batteries will last you for over a year in my case.

I have a black dog and the bright blue light brightens up the night when I am walking my dog on the street

This is my local pet store and it is wonderful- I am in here monthly to pick up Fromm dog food (they have a great variety of grain free options).

Most of the accessories, treats and gear are costly and not something I choose to purchase, but there are hidden gems of good deals - lamb ears for $1, chewy toys for $12 and under, etc.

This is one of my favorite shops to pick up a gift for the pet-lover - seasonal chewy toy or doggy baked goods :)

This shop has GREAT staff! The few times I've been in here my pup and I have gotten such amazing treatment...we're even on the stores personal camera...they love taking photos of your little man! They have a huge assortment of dog supplies and goodies, ranging from fresh treats, to top of the line food, to indestructible (much needed for my min pin) toys. Make sure you stop in here for you loved one at home!

I have had an amazing experience time and again at Barker & Meowsky. They have an excellent selection and wide variety of the latest and greatest for your four legged kids. Alice - the owner is incredibly knowlegeable about everything dog.... and I should know I own a very upscale pet sitting/dog walking business in Palm Beach. I have been so satisfied that I have ordered items for my clients and always gotten top notch service. This store carries goods for those who want and can afford the best for their furry children!
