Great small bar with a fantastic local beer selection and cool murals on the wall. Right next to Gomez salsa which is a plus

HalfCut is a neat place, and should be on any beer drinker's list. The taps rotate often, and while the selection is not super rare or unique, it is well curated. The prices have recently gotten higher, which is the only reason for the four star rating. The mural inside is really cool and brings this cozy bar to life.
One thing: why include a TV? This place has always been about catching up with friends, cheating with the knowledgeable bartenders, and relaxing. It seems like a strange addition to me.

HalfCut is not a large bar, but it packs fun into a small space! They offer a few varieties of local beer (50 West, Madtree, etc) on draft which is a huge plus! They hosted a silent disco event, which was AMAZINGLY fun. I highly recommend HalfCut to anyone in the area.

It's a very laid back and chill bar. They only have one tv for sports so if you are looking to watch sports I would suggest going to another bar that has fifty of them. They have good music all the time. At the end of each month they have a silent disco which is really really cool. If you have never been to one I highly suggest going to it. When you get hungry you can order gomez tacos from next door and they get delivered to you in the bar. They have a very big selection of beers that is constantly rotating so you never see the same beers on the menus two weeks in a row. The beers are moderately priced but they are no more expensive as getting a beer at rhinegeist. My personal favorite part is that they have lots of board games for you to choose from and play while you are there. As a west Sider I don't go downtown a lot but when I do I go to half cut.
