Love the Y! The renovated space is huge and nicely finished, with all of the equipment you could want. The free weight room is definitely small, but throughout the rest of the gym you have plenty of room to move about and get your workout in.

Newly renovated and conveniently located. Towel service, salt water pool, sauna, spin rooms, yoga rooms,nice locker rooms. Personal trainers available. Staff is friendly and helpful. Numerous classes included in membership at convenient hours. Do wish it opened earlier on Sunday though.

Up to date equipment, including stair climber. Cooled cycling room, several racquetball courts and gym with basketball hoops and would be good for volleyball also. Their running track is suspended above the gym and the guard rail is not that high. Makes a tall guy like me nervous! I cannot give 5 stars because pool was closed unexpectedly due to no lifeguard. I was told a lifeguard would arrive by 5 pm and when I left at 6 pm there was still no lifeguard. Why can't they post signs to swim at your own risk like other pools do?

The staff here is unbelievably friendly and helpful. This is by far the best quality of Central Park YMCA. The facility itself is very neat and up to date. Great equipment with several ways to meet your exercising needs. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is even remotely interested in fitness.
