Not sure what to say. I came here for a birthday dinner, and the food was interesting. It seems overpriced, and what I ordered was definitely not worth the $15 we paid for it. The atmosphere seems conflicting with itself, as food was served on metal trays, but the place seemed to be trying to maintain something of an upscale appearance. Honestly I don't think I would return.

Beautiful building with a relaxing atmosphere. Larry, our waiter, was so welcoming! He was knowledgeable and excited about the menu! The food was fresh and cooked to perfection! If you're seeking local farm fresh food with an innovative menu at reasonable prices look no further! Recommended to all and will be returning every time we come through Cincinnati!

Unique interior, farm to table food, quality food with just enough portions. I ordered a burger that my wife raved about. The burger was definitely flavorful and unique. The straw fries were unique compared to most places. One person I went with commented "how do they do that with the flavored?" in reference to a cauliflower dish. The interior is fun to explore give the ceramics.
If you come, bring a date for sure. Order something you normally wouldn't because that's what seems to be worth the price and experience. I definitely recommend.

The Rookwood is, first and foremost, a place that I'd love to love. The location is stellar and the ambiance is fairly relaxed without losing an upscale feel. The menu is filled with excellent locally produced fare, ranging from the meat cuts to the 16 bricks bread. There are eclectic and interesting options on the menu sure to pique your interest. When done properly, these dishes have the capacity to deliver an incredible experience. However, sometimes the Rookwood gets a little too ambitious on what it can actually deliver. Through the several times I've visited, the quality of food has varied from stellar to mediocre. On my most recent visit, it was my birthday meal, and the whole experience was a relative letdown. The first basket of bread we ordered was stale, and instead of being replaced, we were sold a second basket at $4. Dinner progressed and we placed our orders. After a fairly long wait time, two of our dishes were wrong. The waitress apologized and put in the correct order, however, when the correct dishes came out they were severely undercooked. We had to send back again to get the dish cooked properly. Besides these errors, one of the other dishes was overcooked and soggy. The situation could have been rectified by comping dessert or a manager reaching out, however, all the waitress did was say sorry. Sorry doesn't fix meals. 2/5
