You've probably walked past this place in Tremont and said to yourself, "Wow, what a cute and cozy looking restaurant! I should try to come here sometime." Well, keep on walking! I have rarely been as disappointed in a dining experience as this one.

First off, it's all cash (for some really strange reason!) So they keep reminding you of this as you eat, presumably in case you need to bust out and hit an ATM before the $20 noodles with canned marinara drizzled on top arrive at the table.

It's so dark in the restaurant even our waitress had a flashlight to explain parts of the menu us. She seemed totally frazzled. The darkness was like when the power goes out at your house and you're all huddled around the last remaining candle.

The food was just plain bad! I can forgive a lot but when I'm paying upwards of $20-$25 for plate of pasta, it should at least taste better than something served in a mall food court or airline. The pasta was undercooked, the "famous" sauce this guy works on was just drizzled on so sparsely I could barely taste it, and it was COLD! Like not even room temperature. COLD! I asked the waitress to heat it up and like 5 minutes later the main chef dude comes out and seems confrontational and says "that's the way it's suppose to be." He was downright rude. At that moment we all just wanted OUT and we got our bill.

Completely demoralized, we left Tony's and decided to try to redeem our night by grabbing a drink and appetizers at Dante just one block away.

Save your money and your wallet and your eyesight, avoid Tony's!

Interior was so dark, we asked to be seated outside. Limited menu. Arrived at 7 pm but did not receive main course in a reasonable amount of time. Salads never served until after main course. Asked waiter for more cheese and was told in a reluctant manner that he would, "see what I can do". Never did get more cheese. Lasagna served luke warm. We paid $10 for bread that was just their small serving of pizza dough with olive oil and seasonings floating on top. Unbelievable! Dishes lacked creativity to warrant costs. When the chef came to ask how our meals were, he was already in a confrontational mode. When my complaint was expressed, he became more belligerent and told me that I did not know what I was talking about. His Napoleon complex became more apparent in his attempt to intimidate me, but I was unimpressed and totally shocked by such bombastic behavior. Luckily, his wife called him off before the scene became even more ugly. My dinner companions and I have NEVER experienced anything like this and will tell everyone we know to NEVER go to this so-called restaurant.

Overpriced. We felt like we were being bullied by the owner when he asked for feedback. He interrupted my wife and became confrontational. Told us we didn't know what we were taking about. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

Absolutely love this place. They take care of you like extended family. The food is great, menu covers everything you could possibly want in an Italian dinner and the customer service is top-notch

This place is charming as hell. Eleni and her husband Anthony are personable and wonderful hosts. We were lucky enough to sit on the patio while a live musician played jazz. The food and drink menu was equally fantastic - great attention to detail. Next time we're in town I'll be stopping by again.
