We bought 2 pistachio cakes a few weeks ago and it was very delicious! All our guests and family members loved it! The flavor was great! They did a fabulous job! We will definitely order other desserts from Nonnahs!

Decided to drop in here for a quick dessert after dinner elsewhere in the Vista. Around 9 o’clock on a Friday evening, it seemed busy but not busy enough for our server to show up 15 minutes AFTER the hostess seated us. Once she did finally take our order the cake slices took another 15 or so minutes, maybe more. She never came back with the check so we ended up leaving cash for our food on the table. Terrible service. The price of the cake wouldn’t be so bad if the experience had been better, but I just recommend going to Kaminsky’s instead. At least they know how to handle a busy crowd.

Great locally owned spot with a little of everything. Best known for desserts, but they also do lunch and dinner and have a full alcohol and coffee bar. Live jazz on the weekends and tons of local art on the walls.

I went with a group of friends because a waitress at another nearby restaurant suggested it. Our waitress and all the wait staff seemed high. We had to repeat everything over and over and it was still wrong. We order wings got 5 wings total. They cost like $10! We ordered a flaming coffee and three people at our table received and ate their cake before two of us got ours and before our coffees arrived. Most of the cakes were yummy but the red velvet tasted like a freezer burned cake. We wanted to love it so bad. Sadly we were not impressed.

We had a 4 course gross meal. A few of us ordered shrimp and grits. Grits is a southern food that has to be cook to a perfection especially when adding shrimp. The grits didn't have cheese nor butter, just a lumpy mess, and the shrimps didn't taste fresh. All of the ingredients appeared to be cooked together in one pot. The shrimp and sauce is supposed to be poured over the grits not cooked in the grits.
The chef must be from the North, East or West, but certainly not from the south. He or she should never cook grits to serve to anyone, especially to humans who grew up in the south.
I also want to know how the hell does someone screw up a salad. The dressing was on the bottom and lettuce and other ingredients thrown on top. The only portion of the meal that was passable was the red velvet cake.
Although the food was horrible, the staff is friendly and attentive. I will be calling the manager today to express my concerns. I couldn't do it Saturday because there were other guests, and I didn't want to embarrass the manager/staff.
