I received my throat cancer diagnosis 15 years ago. I was originally treated at UAMS & the CARTI unit located on the UAMS grounds in Little Rock. Unfortunately, the CARTI unit closed & my "Cancer Dr." moved to Bentonville.
After retirement, I became weary of driving to Little Rock for follow up appointments. ENT of Conway came to my rescue. Dr. Kirsch is an exceptional physician & specialist. His communication skills are among the best in comparison to the many Dr.'s I have seen in the past.
On a side note, my wife decided I was losing my hearing. I tried to explain it was intentional (ha ha). The specialist in charge of the Ear Clinic was fantastic. From the testing & the instructions she provided, with my new hearing aids I can hear sounds that had previously disappeared.
I completely understand the frustration of patients who complain about waiting so long to see the Dr. after their appointment time has long come and gone. We all have schedules that we wish to accommodate. I bring the newspaper or a book of crossword puzzles or sudoku.
I look at it like this. Did you ask Dr. Kirsch every question you wanted to ask him during your visit ?? Did he take the time & patiently explain to you all that you wanted and/or needed to know ?? Have you other Dr.'s that perform this same service ?? Don't you wish ALL of your Dr.'s would take the time to really "SEE YOU" & not just run you through their office like a cattle drive ?? I know that's a bit overstated ... but ... this is how I look at it. I'll gladly wait "my time" because I know when it is "my time", Dr. Kirsch will give me all of his time & effort & concentration. At that point in time, I feel as if I am the most important patient in his office. IF that is not what a patient really wants, I must be confused.
P.S. My primary physician is so busy, their office has accepted zero new patients over the past two years. It was through Dr. Kirsch that we discovered a problem with my medication & this was corrected.
Further, my awesome spouse decided my snoring was very abnormal & through Dr. Kirsch, a sleep study was arranged.
In my rarely humble opinion, Dr. Kirsch is a Dr. who really cares !!!

Dr. Kirsch always runs late! I've been here for over 2 hours past my appointment time waiting. That's RIDICULOUS! The lady that does the hearing tests is great but Dr. Kirsch is always late. He's a great doctor if you don't mind the wait but it drives me crazy.

I was referred at the end of 2015 to Dr. Baker, in Conway, because I had been having the problem of having eye infections several times a year (each time the infections would last for weeks and were very hard to get rid of), for about the last 4 years. Also late that year, I started having tears pool in my right eye, and then run down my cheek. Dr. Baker found that I had a clogged tear duct, but was unable to unclog it, and determined that I needed surgery on it. He sent me to Dr. Kirsch, for examination and his opinion.
Dr. Baker and Dr. Kirsch work together in a procedure on the type of problem I had, and they scheduled me for surgery in April, 2016. My surgery went very well and I was very pleased. I did have a bit of a problem, starting a few months after the surgery, with the surgery site (inside my nasal passage) crusting over and Dr. Kirsch had to clean it off each visit after that. The tears were starting to make my eye feel moist all the time, like they were getting ready to pool again, during this time. The last 3 weeks, I have noticed that they don't do that any more. I went in for another checkup again yesterday (about 10 months after surgery). There was no crusting over this time, so nothing to clean off....YAY! I will now just go in next year in April for another check-up to make sure all is still going well.
I would recommend both doctors to anyone who needs this surgery done. I also found Dr. Kirsch's staff to be both professional and courteous.

Great place!!!! They are really good with my son he has been seen here since he was about 3 and he's 5 now!

Rude Staff -- I called during the morning about scheduling a check-up. I experienced barotrauma while scuba diving last week and just wanted a professional to look into my ear. The front staff was very rude. They literally gave me the number for the emergency clinic in town and hung up. I have health insurance so I don't know what the problem is. ---- If they can't hire reasonably friendly staff for their medical service business, then I don't expect them to have much skill elsewhere.
