This is my home away from home.
Owned by the man who brought you the famous Windmill Lounge, it is everything you expect of Charlie Papaceno, and more. The cocktails are properly made, the staff cool, and friendly, the patio excellent.
I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great first date, or just to relax with goodpeople and conversation.

So I read about this place and my friend and I were going to meet here for cocktails. I walked in, it was literally 4 of us in there including myself two other patrons whom already had drinks and the bartender (elderly white man with glasses). I go in and he literally says absolutely nothing to me no greeting no one moment I'll be right with you (as he was not busy at all), nothing. So I stand there a sec as he interacted with one lady ,although he was old he saw me we made eye contact several times. So just to not waste my time or money I call my friend to let her know we didn't need to waste money here. To the older white specimen hopefully you can get from behind the bar one day.... unacceptable.

Love this place. The best neighborhood bar in Dallas. Great music, people, and atmosphere. Plus pool tables. Mike and Fidi are the type of bartenders that you want.

Charlie the owner is one of the most talented cocktail artisans that you'll come across. They have an excellent jukebox, and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I have never had a bad experience here, and you won't either. Excellent place to go after catching a movie at Alamo or anytime really.
