I have had good experiences at Banfield but the bottom line has always been money. My last visit was no exception. My dog has without a doubt ringworm. The vet would not prescribe oral medication without a culture. If a culture is needed to confirm ringworm why did the vet prescribe a shampoo and topical ointment to treat ringworm???? In addition my dog was prescribed Hills Science Diet Metabolic Dog food for her weight issue. About 3/4 of the way through the bag of food I thought my dog's last days were ahead. She began barking at me and when I took her for a walk she wandered into the middle of the street. She has never acted this way before. After a few days on her regular food she was back to her old self. Summing things up I believe the vets at Banfield are more concerned with the bottom line than the pet.

Also be extremely careful when feeding your dog Science Diet prescription only dog foods.

Had an appointment for our pet on Saturday march 4, 2017! drove an hour because of the excellent reviews! Our pet is usually calm but was fidgety and nervous because of a new location! Dr. Miller was excellent but our dog was still not calming down, this is when Danielle took over, he got more agitated and started barking, this is when the nurse (Danielle) took over and put him in a choke hold, she had her arm around his neck, i think the situation could have been better handled, they are professionals but did not behave in that manner whatsoever! she continued the choke hold on him until the medications were administered! we couldn't get out of there fast enough! once we got home, my daughter was brushing him and noticed a bruise on his head and investigating further found a huge bruise on his neck where the nurse was holding him! this was highly unprofessional, bruising and hurting an animal! needless to say we won't be returning to this location! the nurse in question should be trained properly as not to hurt any other animals!

Nice people, great service. I have no complaints! They always call with updates and let me know before they do a procedure that is not covered by the pet wellness plan. Both of my doggies (one 7 lbs. chihuahua and one 50 lbs. hound) have been well cared for by the folks at this location.
