CityVet - Oak Lawn

I left my baby with City Vet-Oak lawn location on a Thursday for her annual check up and for boarding. When I dropped her off, I explained to them she has mucus in her eyes, so, please, take a look at this. When I returned from being out of town (Monday), I called them at 10am to let them know I was on my way to pick up Bella at 3pm. When I got there, the nurse said "oh we cleaned the mucus from her eyes today and here is the medicine you can use for her". I told her, "yeah I know...I told you guys about that when I dropped her off. Why would she still have this issue if she has been with you for almost four days and you mean to tell me my dog has been dealing with this since Thursday?" She really couldn't give me an answer. She gave me pink eye medication which didn't work and my dog and I are still dealing with this issue. I will never take my Bella to City Vet. If you know of another vet in the area, please, send me their information.

Also, they didn't look at Bella's eyes until after I called about picking her up. On the receipt it shows they ran an eye test on her at 10:35am on that Monday

Effie Giannopoulos​,DVM has been my vet for 25 years now!! We were both new at being a pet owner and she was just starting out as an Vet. Effie is an angel and an absolute saint. I've never met anyone that was as kind and as committed to helping, healing, and taking care of every single pet plus their owner. I would give City Vet 🌟100🌟 stars. The clinic and the staff are hard working & trust worthy. They always give 100%!!

Absolutely without a doubt, the best vet we have ever been to, bar none. Dr. Effie is the most sweet, caring and knowledgable veterinarian in Dallas and the front desk staff is amazing and very accommodating. Their prices are very reasonable too for the quality of service that they offer. They also see some exotics, we have rats and they have been nothing but good to them.

Called them 3 times to get them to send my dogs records to the boarding facility. Each time they said they were on it. Unfortunately, they were not on it. In fact, they were completely off of it. Then, we find out they didn't have all the information necessary to pass onto the boarders. What's the point of an introduction visit if you don't have all the necessary info?!!!!! Aside from all that, our Vet was very nice and knowledgeable but I doubt we'll be returning.

When my dog passed away I asked & paid for an imprint of his paw print. A week later his ashes were returned however there was no clay mold of his paw print.

When I asked why I was told it was an oversight & was not done. They did not perform their duties properly. Plus the manger who oversees the process did not check it either.

Because of their incompetence and lack of respect & empathy I will never have such a treasured keepsake. They go on w/ their daily lives but I am the one who will forever morn the loss of my dog without the comfort his paw print would have brought to me. I will forever hold them accountable for the enduring pain I face because of their mistake.

There is absolutely no excuse for their lack of work ethic. When it comes to a pets remains there should never be an "oversight". Do not trust City Vet Oak Lawn with your pet. They lack professionalism & fulfillment of your wishes. If you do you will pay the ultimate price just as I have.
