Amazing place, the animals look well care.
Yesterday I adopted a cat and the process was easy and fast. The people working there are so helpful.
Best experience ever!

Can't say enough good about the SPCA of Texas. When my vet told me my two new Pyrenees/Lab mixes would be $250 per neuter I was shocked. The SPCA did both pups, all required shots, microchipped, after surgery meds, the cone of shame for both, and to top it off the staff was super nice and helpful - all for around $250.00 TOTAL! I have nothing but praise for the SPCA of Texas. Appointments are well in advance but well worth the wait. Great people!

You can come here to adopt a pet animal. The place is run professionally. The location can easily be reached within minutes from around area south of Dallas, Texas. You can also contribute to the wellfare of the animals that they rescued by purchasing products that are on display.

I recently brought in my dog Ariel to be spayed because she had developed pyometra. The Mesquite Animal Hospital was going to charge me $2,200 to get the surgery done. I came to the SPCA and everyone was so helpful, understanding, and welcoming. They did the surgery for free and all I paid was $26 for the medication. I'm so thankful that they were able to help me and my dog. If it wasn't for them my dog would not still be living. She is now healing nicely and with no problem. I highly recommend you bring your pet here. I cannot express how much they've done for my dog. Thanks SPCA!

I called ahead and asked if it was okay for me to bring my little fur baby to meet the potential new sibling and they said on the phone that they actually ENCOURAGE it to be sure that they will get along. So I arrive with my dog and was told by the front desk staff that my dog was only allowed in the front area away from the other dogs because it can get some of them riled up. I'm not opposed to keeping the dogs in the shelter comfortable, but please tell me if I had come alone with my dog, how could I possibly go look around? I can't be in two places at once. So my boyfriend and I had to take turns looking while keeping my pup at the front, which didn't give us an opportunity to really talk about which pet each of us were interested in. What's frustrating is I called ahead of time for that very reason and I feel like I should have been told when I called that my dog would not be able to walk around with me. If I had known this I would have come the first time alone and then brought my dog at another time. Some specification would have been nice before I drove over half an hour to get there.

The shelter itself was very nice. They do a very good job of keeping it clean and the animals appear well cared for.
