My dad and i wanted to make reservations to rent jet skis on a sunday the day of the Daytona 500. We called on the Tuesday before and they told us they didnt do reservations that early and to call the day before. We call Saturday and they tell us they cant do anything that day because of the 500. This would be acceptable if it weren't for the fact that when we called we specifically said the day of the Daytona 500 and told them that other places had told us they were closed for the event. Isnt that enough to ring a bell that your "cab company" comes first on this day??!! Terrible business managent.

I rent mopeds any time I travel and this was a great experience. Mike is who we worked with and he was very fast and professional. We rented the moped for a 24 hour period and had a blast. The mopeds were in good condition and you could tell they had been taken care of. If you are in Daytona and looking for a way to have some fun I would for sure recommend Daytona Fun Rentals!
I rent mopeds any time I travel and this was a great experience. Mike is who we worked with and he was very fast and professional. We rented the moped for a 24 hour period and had a blast. The mopeds were in good condition and you could tell they had been taken care of. If you are in Daytona and looking for a way to have some fun I would for sure recommend Daytona Fun Rentals!

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING RENTING ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!!! Where do I begin? My brother and I had never been to Daytona Beach and wanted to rent scooters so we could travel the island freely, on and off road. We decided to go with Daytona Fun Rentals since they had a pretty good price for 24 hours. I now understand why they are so cheap. First of all, the owner knew we were coming by 7 pm to get the scooters. We got there right at 7 pm and the owner was nowhere to be seen. I called him 3 times, no response. In fact, a homeless man was the first one to greet us, he said he would call him and tell him we were there. I'm sorry but when I have my wife and family with me, and you're in a sketchy area at NIGHT like this place is in you don't want to be there waiting long. Good thing I had my concealed carry because that was a not-so-hot neighborhood. Anyway, after about 20 minutes, the owner showed up with his "girlfriend" and let us in the rental store. The owner begins to pick the scooters out for us and can't get one to start. Now look, I ride motorcycles for a living and I know a thing or two about how they operate. They are not much different than a two-wheeled scooter. He had no battery tender hooked to any of his bikes and it was December, an off season for the scooters, so the battery's were drained. Beside that, he finally got it started and it died after taking it out and that was a NEW scooter? He explained. After it died he pulled out another and it also took some time to crank it up. After it started we signed our papers and left the business. The first thing I noticed when we left was that my scooter was missing half a right brake lever...that seems safe...(sarcasm). Beside the small mechanical issues, the BIGGEST problem was the power in those scooters. I want to say it took us about 3 minutes or so to get up to roadway speed (which was about 35 mph.) I had to drive on the side of the road, in the shoulder, just to get to speed and then merge onto the road. After we got the scooter to the hotel, not even 10 minutes later, I called the owner to tell him his scooters were garbage and I was seeing if he could maybe exchange them out for the hour jet skis or a partial refund. No, he was willing to give us half off the scooter rental and still charge $80 for the jet skis!? The scooters rental was $95! I said, "no deal." I mean, it was pointless. So, after about 3 hours or so I wanted to go for a night ride to get some fresh air, I went to start my scooter...it wouldn't start; I kept trying and I knew the battery was dead. I called the owner the next morning, since it was around 11 pm, and explained my frustration. He came out and immediately starting saying, I killed the battery. I was like, excuse me? He said I killed it by trying to start it with the kick stand down. I know I didn't do that but he kept insisting I did. I explained that I know how to start a scooter because I ride motorcycles, which has a lot of the same features. He himself could not get the bike started after countless attempts! After he manually cranked it, it started he again kept insisting I killed the battery, I told him to take the scooter and get out of my face because my blood was boiling. I knew he was finding an excuse to put it on me so he didn't have to issue a partial refund since I had the bike for only a few hours when I was suppose to have it for the whole 24 hours. My brother kept his scooters because the owner insisted he had to go and couldn't wait on my brother to come down. So, after more hours passed we took the scooter back before heading home and this is where I really want you to pay attention. My brothers scooter had a messed up basket when we got the bike so I assumed it wouldn't be an issue, man were we wrong. The first thing out of the owners mouth was, "what happened to my basket?" My brother and I explained it was messed up when we got the scooter and the owner went crazy saying no it wasn't. I brother and I were livid that he would try to pull such a scheme. These guys did a great job. They were ready within 15 minutes of making a reservation, had better prices than their competition, and told us everything we needed to know. Our experience with Daytona fun rentals was as good as we could have imagined. Also the jetski we rode had only 6 hours on the clock.
