Historic Institution that embeds history and brings forth amazing information about the founder and her faith and applies it into everything they do and believe. Outstanding professors !!!! #BCU21

Loved every moment of the tour. We visited while vacationing Daytona Beach. The staff was absolutely amazing. So friendly, the students as well. Corey was our tour guide and she is vibrant and genuine. My son got to see the dorms. He met the band director. The band students played for us. The greek life was explained in detail. It really made my son's vacation. I can't explain the look of anticipation and joy in his eyes. Thank you.

I have taught at this university in the past and can tell anyone that while I have never visited a brothel, I am most certain that the experience at a brothel would have been more rewarding both morally and experience-wise. The academic standard is quite low, the students are horrible and lack discipline, the administrators lack leadership and understanding of the broader purpose of education, and seem to believe they are there to kiss up to students; majority of who are functioning below appropriate literacy level. Students want to tell you how much work to give and some petty administrators there actually subordinate themselves to students determining classroom academic and social standards because they foster friendship with students rather than respect (no wonder the issues of educators and students having intimate relationships almost destroyed the university at one point - remember the episodes during Dr. Trudy Kibble Reid's presidency and how many professors were dismissed in regards to such incidences?). This is a morally bankrupt institution which underscores the bad direction in which our agents of socialization are headed today. These people required me to compromise both moral and academic standards, but I refused, and instead turned in my resignation. The Dean of the College where I taught was such a non-leader who actually believed he was dealing with another moral and academic moron who compromises to eat bread...I actually found him pitiful, even until today...how could an educated man be lacking proper moral compass in such an important role? He is not the only one anyways as many institutions have types just like him. The president of the university was no better during my short time there, as he facilitated and befriended rather than disciplined the majority of students who are Blacks, and who are already from morally bankrupt homes, society, and the like, and who more than even literacy, needed moral education. I can remember in one devotion where this foolish man with questionable leadership, and who happens to be a bishop, told what is a majority of semi-literate students who are already operating below functional-literacy requirement for the academy: "You are smarter than us!" Such nonsense....how will they even be willing to listen to faculty, follow instructions, and even change their morally bankrupt nature and values? It is sad that this place has deteriorated into what I saw in my short time there, as I once heard it was a good institution. Hopefully, it has gotten better or will get better some day.

I love my school class of 2010. I had so much fun here, I met my wife here (Franchesca Ms. Fancy 14k Captain) so many memories I was apart of the football program (Wyatt Boy) also did one year under coach Jenkins. The teachers, deans, custodians, coaches and etc.. here really cared for me I love them and thank GOD for them till this day (Everybody knew and loved Ike). This school didn't just teach me class work this school taught me how to survive and face real life issues. For the people on here bashing my school your not a wildcat and never will be. Nobody is racist at Cookman Why say such a thing when Black people are the most tolerant people on this earth other races have a problem with us we don't have a problem with other race of people we get along with everyone so stop bashing my school when you never stepped foot on campus or know anything about it . This is a great place to get an education majority of my family went here Myself and my wife graduated from here my kids will go here I also have a little cousin attending in August, and two more cousins attending now. For the racist comments on here you better REPENT!!!! And ask GOD to take that hate out your heart before you burn in HELL hating black folks for no reason, I'm not saying what they did to Ms. Betsy was right they will have to answer to GOD for that as well but when you know the true story behind it she should have never been invited to speak there. I LOVE MY SCHOOL THEE GREAT BETHUNE COOKMAN UNIVERSITY HAIL WIDCATS!!!!!!!!!

Interesting seeing the reviews 30 years after I attended, and the College has taken University status. I was bored and most of what I was learning as a freshman in January, I had obtained in my first year of Senior High School. My mother relented on one thing, after one semester at Bethune Cookman I returned to the Midwest region of the US and went on to matriculate from a University in rural Kansas. The experiences and people I met in that short time at Bethune Cookman made an impact on my life. Thankful for all things.
