Best down-home breakfast I've had in years! Made me feel like I was a little kid eating breakfast at my grandma's house! Food for the Soul!

I stood at the register to order and was overlooked twice. It would have been nice if the waitress had at least recognized my existence and said I'll be with you in a minute. So I didn't even try the food. I left.

Three couples stopped in for lunch today. Five of us had the chicken fried steak.... One had fried chicken salad.... WOW...... A hand battered chicken fried steak, perfectly seasoned, with gravy, in house made yeast roll, and two sides. One of the best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The person that ordered salad said it was great also.... Get the pie also, but get it to go.... The steak is LARGE, and GOOOOD....... The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served.... 160 mile round trip, but I will return...

We stopped here for lunch and it's a small cafe just off state Route 287, 2 miles drive. Fire fighters were there, so I knew the food would be delicious and they didn't like us down. The staff is friendly and the service was fast. The food was fresh and hot, when served.

We've been wanting to try this place and finally we did today. Beautiful historic buildings on the lot. The restaurant itself is very small, but the servers are very quick to clear off a table for new diners that want to sit down. Breakfast is served until 10:30. Me and the wife ordered Chicken Fried Steak. Everything was delicious and homemade. You can't beat a big hunk of fried meat for $8! They also make pies. Only tried the chocolate, but it's one of the best I've had. This place was worth the 30 mile trip!
