I had a great experience with Dr. Jacobson and the rest of the staff. I had on going ankle issues for over two months and could not get a doctor to figure it out. Dr. J was quick to figure out what was wrong and make sure he could fit me in for surgery before having to go back to school. He made sure to explain everything in a way I could understand, he made sure my parents were on the same page, and that we were comfortable moving forward with surgery. He followed up with me the day after to make sure everything was still going well. He really has gone above and beyond.

I would never recommend Dr J. He is arrogant and does not listen to his patients. My daughter had 3 surgeries with him for ankle problems- first fix, then another fix, then a revision. Each time she told him something was wrong, but he wouldn't listen. Each time she was right. He either doesn't know how to manage pain or doesn't care to after surgery. We had to call and beg for more pain meds, his response was "it's going to hurt." After complaining of unbearable excruciating pain after the 3rd surgery, we went and saw another doctor. They immediately knew something wasn't right. She had a bone infection and had to endure another surgery as well as months of IV antibiotics. I see another doctor in the practice for pain management, and he is amazing. Kind, considerate and listens. Dr J is nothing like him, he even had the nerve to put his hand in my face to stop me from talking! We should have seen someone else then, but we didn't. There are so many other great doctors out there- Find someone else.

In all of my years I've been through a lot, however experiencing a broken ankle 2 years ago was truly a 1st for me. I've been under the care of various physicians at Advanced Orthopedic and have had a great experience with each and every physician. However after breaking my ankle Dr Jacobson was thorough and explained what I could expect from x-rays, to cast, to walking boot, etc. Overall I was quite satisfied with the care that I received not only from Dr Jacobson but from the staff as well

Overall horrendous experience. Arrogant and incompetent. The staff is the worst too.
Years later still swollen and in pain. If you value your health, go elsewhere!!!

Our family has had significant experience with Dr. Jacobson. We initially consulted with him to obtain a second opinion about a complicated surgery for our 14 yr. old son. We also met personally with a past patient of his (at his recommendation) who had the same surgery performed by Dr. Jacobson on both feet. Dr. Jacobson is attentive and gets to the point in a refreshing way. We never feel rushed and he has answered all of our questions. We will have Dr. Jacobson perform a second surgery later this year (on our son's other foot). Dr. Jacobson is a very competent surgeon with an excellent "bedside manner." It seems that some reviewers here have mistaken him for someone else. That's a shame and frankly, as a consumer looking at reviews, I expect people to do their homework before lashing out at the wrong doctor.
