When I moved to CO a few months ago, I did a lot of shipping around for a good Rec Shop. I landed with PURE on Colfax because they were close to home, they have a rewards points program, they were well reviewed, and they have the best prices in town. They also have great promo deals regularly. Unfortunately, now I know why they keep their prices so low. The selection is garbage. Usually there's a selection of around 5 strains and 10/10 times they're "out" of the pre-packaged eighths in most of their strains, so all you can do is buy a quarter or more if you want to get your choice (sound fishy to you?). They also rate some of their bud at percentage levels way higher than what it actually is. Normally that doesn't bother me, but they sold me what they claimed was a 28% bud (i know right?) and a few heads and I agreed after smoking that it couldn't have been anywhere near that heavy. I hear CO has a huge +/- factor on advertising percentages, so that's probably common here, plus this is probably more of a lab issue. Also, the bud never seems very fresh and is always VERY dried out. Because I haven't gotten a CO license yet and am still using my out of state ID, I am constantly treated like a pass-through tourist they just want to get rid of as quickly as possible. The one guy that works there most times I go in has got to be the rudest person I've met since moving to CO. He's so snarky, passive aggressive, sarcastic, and at times out right insulting. I can't wait to get out of there when he's working. But what finally pushed me over the edge, is that I signed up for their Rewards Points program the first time I went into their shop- three months ago. Since that time, I'm buying bud pretty regularly at a weekly, sometimes twice weekly rate. Every time I check out, I specifically ask the person helping me, "So you're making sure this gets on my points right?" And I always get an answer like "Oh yeah, I got you right here man! *points at computer.*" Well I was on the other side of town, and visited another one of their locations, where I was told they didn't even have my name on file. I asked if it was location specific and they said no, that I was just never actually put into the system. So I drove across town to my regular Colfax shop, and low and behold, they confirmed that there was no account in my name. When I asked them why they kept confirming they were giving me points when they weren't, the employees seemed to not care at all and gave rude non-answers like "Just be glad you can come here and buy legal pot." Well guys, I am glad, but you're not the only shop in town, or on the block even. I think I'll start trying those other places out now.
