New to me, very different flavors and spices combined in ways I've never heard of. The wait was a little lengthy, but the food was worth it. Atmosphere was warm and cozy with a good hole in the wall feel.

Enjoyed the unique dishes and bread, but you should just go in expecting the service to be really slow. We were there for over 2 hours when I didn't really have that kind of time.

Pretty good Ethiopian, 3.5 stars. Some items (particularly split pea/lentil dishes) need more seasoning. Places further east on Colfax (Axum, Queen of Sheba) are better, but this is pretty good.

Very good ethiopian fare, served on flat bread, spicy and very tasty. Good portion sizes and very fair prices. Highly recommended.

We are vegetarian and absolutely love the food! We order delivery through Yelp frequently. I love everything in the 7 vegetarian sampler. Abyssinia is one of the very few places I eat on a repeat basis in Denver. The food is consistently great, has lots of flavor and is clearly made with care. I get frustrated with the bland food in Denver - and I finally found a great restaurant! Abyssinia never disappoints!!
