Great place to reserve upstairs for medium size functions. Great portioned food and vegan friendly. Parking on street TN is only drawback but not bad.

Traditional American fare, fantastic sandwiches, not fine dining but well above the average pub fare. I've only been there for lunch, which is fairly quiet, but I get the impression it gets more active in the evenings. Atmospheric historic building, good space. Back patio is pleasant but gets some alley noise and occasional alley smells.

Rasta chicken pasta (cajun chicken, hot sausage, and jalapeño cheddar creamy sauced linguini) and prime rib dip are our go to's. Love us some Hanson's!

Came in at 2:30 for a late lunch. Typical group of barflys surrounding the booze. Floor is ridiculously sticky, i can hear my shoes sticking to the floor. I go find a seat and the table has a film of grease and stickiness to it. Got the basic burger and it was a nice 1/2 lb patty, fries were crispy on the outside, soft in the middle goodness. Waitress was quick to refill my lemonade, but slow to bring the check.
Overall, im not coming back. I can easily find better.

I used to really like this place. The meatball sandwich and meatloaf were great and I appreciated that they didn't try to be pretentious like every other place in Platt Park. Unfortunately, new management meant an overhaul on the menu and it's now like everywhere else. Unremarkable food that tries too hard. Still a good place to grab some nachos and beer and watch a hockey game.
