I haven't posted a review in a long time, but this experience had to be heard.
We've been to The Squeaky Bean before and always received exceptional service and the food has always been great. Something must be going on with their management team, because our dinner on Saturday night was really poor.
Our server Tom took 20 min to get our drinks. We had a 6pm reservation and the restaurant was not even halfway full. He blamed it on the ticket getting lost behind the bar.
The minute we got our drinks our entire order hit our table, appetizers and entrees. I'm not sure why Tom didn't feel the need to course these out. We specifically said, "we'll start with these two dishes..." for our appetizers.
The food was fantastic, no complaints there.
Back to the horrendous service - Tom never checked back in with us to see how our meals were. He also never boxed up my meal when I said I would take home my entree that I had barely touched to go. So he essentially threw out my $20 meal. And then we couldn't find him anywhere when we wanted the check. We had to eventually ask the host.
To top it off, it was my birthday and Tom said they had recently lost their pastry chef so all they could serve us was ice cream. That doesn't help much when you're dairy-free.
Again, the restaurant wasn't even half full. Tom seemed much more interested in taking care of his family/friend table next to us, then making sure we had a halfway decent meal.
Oh, and the bathroom was a mess. Who's managing this place on Saturday nights?? Do you job! You're losing key patrons.

Very yummy. Really enjoyed the bingo brunch. The avocado eggs Benedict were amazing! Only complaint was the grits were a little salty for my taste

Love the burger, you must try it! Servers are always friendly and bartenders know their stuff. They can make you pretty much any cocktail you can think of. Happy hour has pretty good deals - my favorite is a Coors Banquet and shot of whiskey for $5.

Seriously blown away by this place. All of the servers were super friendly, like they actually enjoyed being there. The food was truly amazing (try the French toast). And when I ordered a side of bacon, they brought me a plate full of heart attack.
